To help improve consistency and efficiency in our design work, I initiated a cross-company project with several other designers to create the first Atomic Design System in Native Instruments.
I was initially focussed on the organisational aspects of the project including scope definition, design and stakeholder management but later was directly involved in auditing/documenting the existing design language, design patterns, components and UI elements etc. Later once the system was established I acted as a maintainer.
The project ran for a couple of years before being retired in favour of a Sketch/Abstract based system which better integrated with our design workflow.
